NAIROBI: A volunteer medical team from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) successfully completed 28 cochlear implant surgeries for children in Kenya on Saturday.
In addition to the surgeries, speech and language rehabilitation services were provided to the 28 children, and 28 educational sessions were organized for their families, benefiting a total of 50 individuals.
This initiative is part of the Saudi Sama'a Volunteer Program, aimed at providing cochlear implantation and auditory rehabilitation for children from Kenya and Somalia.
The program involved 20 medical volunteers from various specialties.
